<p>Plant for reheating and rolling long metallurgical products such as especially billets, comprising a main rolling mill, characterised in that it comprises: - a reheating furnace (10) equipped with at least one exit (12) giving out onto the means for transferring the products towards a second rolling mill (20), especially a slabbing rolling mill; - means for sideways discharging from the furnace (24) for extracting the products from the reheating furnace (10) through the said exit (16) along a specified axis (b-b; b'-b') and for then bringing them to the means of transfer; - means for transfer (18) of the products delivered by the means for sideways discharging from the furnace (24) for conveying them towards the said second rolling mill or slabbing rolling mill; - a second rolling mill (20) such as especially a slabbing rolling mill, receiving the products delivered by the said means of transfer (18); and - means receiving the products leaving the additional rolling mill or slabbing rolling mill (20) in order to deliver them to the main rolling mill (14) along an axis (a-a; a'-a') parallel to the said axis of discharge from the furnace (b-b; b'-b'). <IMAGE></p> |
