PURPOSE:To effectively utilize the space of a storage part without necessitating a special toner moving means by forming a layer consisting of a material excellent in smoothness on a wall surface in a casing above a cleaning blade which is in press-contact with an image carrier. CONSTITUTION:The layer 9 consisting of fluororesin or silicone resin or paraffin, which is excellent in smoothness, such as PTFE, PFA, or FEP is properly formed on the wall surface of a supporting member 2 for the cleaning blade 3 on the inner side of the casing by coating or by means of forming a tape shape and sticking other substance. The toner scraped from the image carrier 1 by the blade 3 gradually grows behind the member 2 and reaches the layer 9, then it is guided along an arrow (e) and stored in the deep side of the casing with the smoothness of the layer without being soilidified. Therefore, a situation that the toner can to be collected in spite of enough space in the casing is surely evaded. |
