The invention relates to a piece-dyeing apparatus suitable both for thick fabrics and for fine fabrics. It comprises a pipeline (11) which is divided into conduits (4, 5). In the case of pieces having a relatively thick fabric texture, they are obliged to follow a path passing by way of the conduits (5), whilst pieces of relatively fine texture follow a path passing by way of the conduits (4). The pressure is higher along this second path than along the first, and the pieces are driven at a higher speed along the second path than along the first. Field of application: piece dyeing for fabrics of different thicknesses, etc. <IMAGE>
