PURPOSE:To shorten the time required for retrieval for the confirmation of music contents by using a single storage device as confirmation of music contents by using a single storage device as a performance data storage means for retrieval and storing the storage device with performance data for retrieval on all stored music. CONSTITUTION:A performance data storage means M1 for retrieval stores the performance data D1 for retrieval on all stored music in the single storage device. A control means M3 can, therefore, attain direct access when retrieving the performance data storage means M1 for retrieval according to retrieved music specification data D2 or reading the searched performance data D1 for retrieval. Performance data D1 for retrieval on each piece of music is data which is part of all performance data on the music, so the capacity of the storage device need not be so large and the access for the retrieval is performed fast. Consequently, the time required by a KARAOKE (recorded instrumental accompaniment) device user to retrieve music to be confirmed can be shortened. |
