PURPOSE:To obtain a thermal transfer image receiving material imparting high image density and having excellent image preservability by providing an image receiving layer containing a dye receivable thermoplastic resin on a support and adding a resin containing a specific component to the thermoplastic resin. CONSTITUTION:In a thermal transfer image receiving material wherein an image receiving layer containing a dye receivable thermoplastic resin is provided on a support, the thermoplastic resin contains a resin containing a component represented by a structural formula I. As a known thermoplastic resin having a skeleton similar to the structural formula I, there are a polycarbonate resin and a copolymerized polyester resin containing bisphenol A as a diol component. It is pref. that 5mol.% or more of a monomer component containing the component represented by the structural formula is contained among all monomer components constituting the thermoplastic resin. |
