<p>PURPOSE:To remove the restriction of utilization places by freely rotatably supporting a rotary ball and pressing 1st and 2nd rotary members for detecting the X and Y direction rotational amounts of the rotary ball in contacted with the members to the ball with elastic members. CONSTITUTION:A rotary spindle 2 for detecting the X axis direction rotational amount of the rotary ball 1 and a rotary spindle 3 for detecting the Y axis direction rotating amount are provided on the ball 1. Respective spindles 2, 3 are pressed in the arrow C and D directions by springs 8a to 8d and respectively rotated in the arrow F and G directions. Since the ball 1 is vertically moved while coming into contact with contact faces, the elastic force of the springs 8a to 8d can prevent the spindles 2, 3 from positional deviation and separation from the spherical positions of the ball 1. The rotational amount of the ball 1 detected by these spindles 2, 3 is converted into an electric signal by a sensor and the electric signal is sent. Thereby even when the contact face is oblique or vertical, the pointing device can be used.</p> |
