摘要 PURPOSE:To avoid a waste in converting the drive of a piezoelectric element to a thermal energy to reduce a power demand by a method wherein when a plurality of piezoelectric elements are driven at different timings, charges removed at the recovery of a piezoelectric element is used as charges supplied to another piezoelectric element. CONSTITUTION:When charges are supplied to a piezoelectric element 1a, switch circuits SW1, SW2 of a charge transfer circuit 4 are turned OFF, and charges are supplied from a charge control circuit 2a. In this manner, the piezoelectric element 1a is expanded to conduct such an operation as driving a printing head pin. After that, at a timing when the charges are removed from the piezoelectric element 1a to be supplied to a piezoelectric element 1b, the switch circuit SW2 is temporarily turned ON so that the charges of the piezoelectric element 1a flows to the piezoelectric element 1b. After the flow for a certain time, the switch circuit SW2 is turned OFF, a discharge control circuit 3a conduct discharging, and a charge control circuit 2b conducts charging. On the contrary, when the charges of the piezoelectric element 1b are used for charging the piezoelectric element 1a, the switch circuit SW1 is temporarily closed.
