PURPOSE:To obtain enlarged picture data being free from rough by enlarging binary picture data in horizontal and vertical directions and taking notice of three continuous horizontal lines of binary picture data, where the number of black picture elements is increased, to correct picture data. CONSTITUTION:Original picture element data 1 is enlarged twice in horizontal and vertical directions. continuous horizontal lines 111 and 112, lines 121 and 122, and lines 131 and 132 of this 2X2 enlarged picture data 2 are noticed, and white picture elements in the right and the left of black picture elements (group) on lines 112, 122, and 132 out of these lines are changed to black picture elements to increase the number of only black picture elements, and black picture element increased picture data 3 is obtained. Three lines 212, 222, and 232 where the number of black picture elements is increased by this processing are notices, and the line 212 is compared with lines 111 and 222 to perform the picture element data correction where a black picture element is defined only for combination of black picture elements but a white picture element is defined for the other combinations. Thus, the enlarged picture being free from rough is obtained. |
