摘要 PURPOSE:To decrease the number of bundle wires and connectors in a conventional equipment, to devise the equipment to be hardly affected with noise, to attain remarkable noise reduction and to eliminate the need for a noise suppression member, as well by using an optical element, an optical reflection means or an optical refraction means to the equipment so as to make optical communication. CONSTITUTION:When an optional digital signal is outputted from a CPU 20 mounted in a printer engine sequence controller 13 and a data is sent to the PD 2 of an image controller 12 being a receiver side, a transistor(TR) Q1 drives an LED 1 by using the digital signal from the CPU 20. At this time, even when the LED 1 and the PD 2 are not arranged on a line or the PD 2 is located at a remote distance, the optical signal of the LED 1 is received by the PD 2 by using a reflection member 23. In the case of the signal received by the PD 1 of the sequence controller 13 from the LED 2 of the image controller 12, similarly a digital signal from the LED 2 is received by the PD 1 by using an optical refraction member 24. The reception signal is fed back to the CPU 20 via an AMP 1.
