PURPOSE:To deliver automatically both copes of specific size and larger, and smaller by discriminating whether the length of copies is of specific size and larger, or not from the detected length of copies by a copy size discriminating means, and setting to a reading standard position by a different operation of a control means from the discriminating result. CONSTITUTION:Copies are conveyed on a platen 2, a resist sensor S2 detects the arrival of the front ends of the copies and the passing of the rear ends, and a microcomputer 49 discriminates whether the copies are of specific size and larger, or smaller. When they are smaller than a specific size, they are set to the position of a reading standard 3 by only feeding in the right direction of a conveying means 4. When the copies are of specific size or larger, the tips of the copies are delivered out of the platen 2 at first, in the right direction of feeding by a conveying means 4, and conveyed until the rear ends reach on the platen 2. Then, the copies are delivered reversely by a reverse delivery of the conveying means 4 so as to insert rear ends of the copies in the gap between a platen cover 5 and the platen 2, and set at the position of the reading standard 3. A cover solenoid 9 is turned on, and the copies are abutted to the platen 2 by the platen cover 5 to carry out the image forming operation. |
