<p>PURPOSE:To reduce the power consumption of a camera fitted with a photographic lens equipped with a control means by shifting the control means of the photographic lens in a sleep state with specific signals from the body. CONSTITUTION:The CPU 10 of the camera body 1 controls the whole camera system and a lens CPU 30 controls the operation of the photographic lens. When the photographic lens is not operated at all, the CPU 10 outputs a 1st specific signal to put the CPU 30 in a sleep state. Further, when a 2nd specific signal is outputted or when the lens is operated, the CPU 30 is actuated to execute a specific program. Further, initial data on the lens are set only once and only variable data are sent thereafter. Consequently, the operation time and communication time of the control means are shortened and the power consumption is reduced.</p> |
