PURPOSE: To enhance the stability of a magenta dye against light by adding the magenta dye and a cyan indoaniline dye to a dye image. CONSTITUTION: A thermal print element has a receiving layer containing a thermal transfer dye image on the surface of a support and the dye image contains a magenta dye represented by formula (I) and a cyan indoaniline dye represented by formula (II). In formula (I), R<1> and R<2> are respectively independently hydrogen or substd. or unsubstd. alkyl, cycloalkyl or aryl; R<3> is substd. or unsubstd. 6-10C aryl; R<4> is one or more electron withdrawing group; X is =N or =C(R<5> )-; and R<5> is hydrogen, alkoxycarbonyl, cyano or halogen. |
