SAFETY LOCK FOR SWING-DOORS

In a safety locking device for a door leaf of a swinging or pivoting door, a rotary-latch lock having a detent pawl is incorporated in the door leaf, its rotary latch corresponding to a key collar fastened to the door frame and having a normally closed locking ring. To assist a main drive for opening and closing the door leaf in terms of a reliable engagement of the rotary latch in its main catch during the closing of the door leaf, a plurality of door-closing aid devices are furthermore provided, whilst for opening the rotary-latch lock an opener drive acting on the detent pawl and an exterior door handle uncouplable from the latter by locking by means of a lock cylinder are provided. Finally, there is also a mechanical operative connection between the emergency cock prescribed for omnibus doors and a blocking lever of the key collar, which makes it possible to open the locking ring of the latter temporarily by hand in the event of an impact of the door leaf by cancelling the mechanical support of a movable part of the key collar forming the abutment for the rotary latch.
