PURPOSE:To prevent a raw material from being accumulated on a non-magnetic pipe by moving magnetic elements reciprocally in neighboring iron removing chambers, automatically sweeping fine iron which is attracted and removed, and rotating the non-magnetic pipes in which the magnetic elements are inserted. CONSTITUTION:An iron removing chamber to which a raw material is transported is divided into neighboring two iron removing chambers 1, 2 by a diaphragm. A plurality of non-magnetic pipes 3 are arranged in a set distance and supported in freely rotatable condition while penetrating into both iron removing chambers. Magnetic elements 4 which have the same transverse width of the iron removing chamber or smaller than that are so penetrated into the non-magnetic pipes 3 as to be freely slid to be positioned selectively in either one of the iron removing chambers 1, 2. Further, the end parts of the non- magnetic pipes 3 are so connected each other as to rotate freely and also a periodically driving apparatus composed of a cylinder 12, an arm 11, a ratchet craw 10, a ratchet gear 9, etc., is installed to rotate the non-magnetic pipes 3. As a result, sweeping of fine iron which is attracted and removed can be carried out automatically. |
