A method of producing anti-reflection coatings on glass surfaces through applying layers by spraying, characterised in that a glass surface, thoroughly cleaned and degreased with trichloroethylene, is coated with at least 3 layers of a solution with pH of 1-3 obtained by mixing 10-15 parts by volume of ethylsilicate-40, 100 parts by volume of ethyl alcohol 99,8%, 2-10 parts by volume of water and an acid catalyst, e.g. hydrochloric acid, and each layer is dried for 0.5 min. at room temperature prior to applying another, whilst after applying the last layer, the coating is hardened for 15 min. at the temperature of approx. 100 degrees C.
