PURPOSE:To improve a recognition ratio by providing a recognition result judging means, similar word group judging means, one-block elimination means, recognizing anew processing means, and final recognition result judging means. CONSTITUTION:When a difference between similarities of first and second place words is smaller than a certain threshold, whether the similar word groups of the first and the second words belong to the same similar word group or not is judged, and words in the similar word group are divided into (n) blocks with the said words as an object. Then recognition processing is performed again to (n-1) blocks, one block is excluded from the (n) blocks. This processing is repeated, and a word finally made as a first place is made a final recognition result. This can avoid wrong recognition due to similar words by the recognition processing of words grouped into similar words, allowing more improvement of a recognition ratio. |
