PURPOSE:To obtain a stable output power, by emitting a first laser beam through exciting a first laser medium with the laser beam emitted from a semiconductor laser, and by emitting a second laser beam through exciting a second laser medium with the first laser beam. CONSTITUTION:A laser beam of 0.8mum band, which is emitted from a semiconductor laser 10, is converged on a first laser medium 12 by a converging lens system 11. Hereupon, an end face 16 of the first laser medium 12 is coated with the film transmitting enough the laser beam of the wavelength of 0.8mum and reflecting enough the laser beam of the wavelength of 1.06mum. The other end face 17 of the first medium 12 is coated with the film transmitting enough the laser beam of the wavelength of 1.06mum. Further, a surface 18 of a mirror 14 is coated with the film reflecting enough the laser beam of the wavelength of 1.06mum, and a surface 19 of the mirror 14 is coated with the film transmitting enough the laser beam of the wavelength of 1.06mum. Also, end faces 20, 21 of a second laser medium 15 are coated with predetermined films respectively, and the laser pulse beam of the wavelength of 1.06mum, which is obtained by a Q switch operation from the mirror 14, is absorbed, so that the pulse laser beam of the oscillation wavelength of 1.5mum band is obtained. |
