PURPOSE:To uniformalize discharged light to a photosensitive material drum after discharge by scanning light which is emitted from a narrow directional light emitting diode as a single light source with a polygonal mirror and guiding the same to the photosensitive material drum with a reflecting mirror. CONSTITUTION:The unit consists of a polygonal mirror 4 to scan laser 10, an imaging lens 7 to image the laser 10, a reflecting mirror 8 to guide the laser 10 to a photosensitive material, a narrow directional light emitting diode 21 for discharge, and a reflecting mirror 22 to guide discharged light 11 which is emitted from the light emitting diode 21 to the photosensitive material drum 12. In this case, the discharged light 11 emitted from the light emitting diode 21 is scanned by the mirror 4, but is reflected by the reflecting mirror 22 through a passage different from the laser 10 without passing through a lens 7 and guided to the photosensitive material drum 12 5o perform discharge. It is thus possible to dissolve non-uniform potential on the surface of the photosensitive material after discharge. |
