SYNTHETIC CLAYS

摘要

The processing of synthetic clays, such as synthetic hectorite, by forming a compressed cake of the clay extruding the cake through restricted diameter holes and drying and size-reducing the extrudates into the 200 to 2000 micron size range can give improvement in dispersibility in water. Particles of another material, such as a catalytically active zeolite may be included in the compressed cake and the dried extrudates used for catalytic purposes.
