PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of appropriately controlling the paper conveyance speed of a fixing member to ensure image quality without forming a loop.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus comprises: a secondary transfer roller 9; a fixing roller 52; a fixing roller driving motor that rotationally drives the fixing roller 52; a control unit that outputs a speed command to the motor to control the paper conveyance speed of the fixing roller 52; and a storage unit that stores a profile of the speed command corresponding to one rotation period of the fixing roller. The profile of the speed command is created on the basis of the transition of the paper conveyance speed corresponding to one rotation period of the fixing roller 52, and the paper conveyance speed of the secondary transfer roller 9; and the control unit outputs the speed command to the fixing roller driving motor on the basis of the profile of the speed command. |
