PURPOSE:To increase the bending strength in a fishing rod provided with doubled reinforcing fiber in the circumferential direction in an inner and an outer layers of the fishing rod. CONSTITUTION:In a fishing rod formed by integrally constructing an interlayer 2 formed by wrapping a prepreg in which reinforcing fiber is doubled in the axial direction, an inner layer 3 and an outer layer 4 formed by wrapping a prepreg in which carbon fiber is doubled in the circumferential direction on the inside and the outside of the interlayer, carbon fiber having >35X10<3>kg/mm<2> tensile elastic modulus and <6mu average fiber diameter is used as the aforementioned carbon fiber in the circumferential direction and the rod tube cross section is prevented from deforming and fracturing with load acting on the fishing rod to increase the bending strength. The wrapping operation of the prepreg in a production process for the fishing rod is also simultaneously facilitated. |
