PURPOSE:To provide a new shoot width variable mechanism which enable an XY table to move at high speed by a method wherein a shoot width variable drive motor which is mounted on the XY table and impedes the acceleration of movement of the XY table is dispensed with. CONSTITUTION:Positioning pins 22 and 23 are made to descend and engaged with a movable shoot 5 when shoots are changed in width, whereby guides 8 and 9 are released from pinching pawls 27 and 28. In this state, when an XY table 12 is made to move horizontally through a control device, a fixed shoot 4 is made to approach to or recede from the movable shoot 5 controlled in movement by the positioning pins 22 and 23 to change the shoots in width. |
