Sterile blood purifier filter is divided by semi-permeable membrane into blood and dialysis fluid chambers using fluid source linked to the chamber together with fluid run-off line plus a bypass line which is tapped between branches of the fluid feed and run-off liner and contains a bypass valve. There is a dialysis valve downstream of the feedline branch and also a pump to feed the dialysis fluid. A filter of pore size max. 0.22 micron (40) is installed in the run-off line (24) between blood filter outlet (12) and the second branch line (36) specified.
