The invention relates to an electrical tipping contact to make an electric circuit automatically when an electrical device is taken out of its inoperative position in any direction by tipping or tilting through a given angle and to break the circuit automatically when the electrical device is returned to its inoperative position. To this end the tipping contact (1) has an upper annular contact (2) of electrically conductive material and a lower annular contact (3) of electrically conductive material arranged at a distance below the upper annular contact (2). The contacts (2) and (3) are connected to a current source (9) via one end (4) or (5) of an electric conductor (7) or (8). The distance between the upper contact (2) and the lower contact (3) is such that a ball (6) of predetermined diameter is in contact in the vertical or inoperative position of the tipping contact (1) with neither or with only the lower annular contact (3), whereas it can be moved into the tipped or oblique position of the tipping contact (1) through a minimum angle from the vertical into a position in which the ball (6) touches both contacts (2) and (3) simultaneously and thus makes the circuit. |
