The video signal mixer has several stages, with which each two video signals are added to control signals after a multiplication. The mixer stage (10,11) inputs between the input and output video signals of other stages (9,10) can be so changed over that the stages selectively form a cascade or a planar structure. Pref. a first mixer stage (9) receives two input video signals. The further stage (10,11) first inputs are continuously coupled to inputs for input video signals, or to outputs of the other stages.
