<p>PURPOSE:To transport a recording material in an image forming system consisting of a plurality of devices safely without risk of being damaged, through simple control, by furnishing a one-way clutch which is actuated only at transportation to the downstream side when the recording material is to be transported from upstream device to downstream device. CONSTITUTION:When a recording material A on which image is recorded, is fed to a transport device 10, a motor 12 rotates in the direction of arrow B. This driving force is transmitted from a gear 16 to a one 18 and forwarded to a one-way clutch 20. This clutch 20 is actuated only at transportation to the downstream side, so that the driving force of motor 12 is transmitted to a driving roller 22, and the recording material A is carried by a roller couple 14 into a processing device 28. A sensor 32 senses that the recording material A is carried into this device 28. After elapse of a specified period of time, transport of the recording material is commenced by a transport roller couple 34 furnished in the processing device 28, and now a control circuit 21 stops motor 12 operation, and the transport of the recording material A by the transport device 10 is stopped.</p> |
