The sealing ring of the bell joint is formed in two sections, the sealing section (3) and the locating section (6). The two are interlinked by a matching notch (10) and projection (9). Projections (4,5,7,8) on both sections anchor the polymer to secure the seal into the concrete when it has set. USE/ADVANTAGE - Avoids problem of adhesion between mould and concrete at critical bell joint section.
