PURPOSE: To exhibit a remarkable effect by enabling the exchange of the shapes and colors of marks to be applied without requiring a long time by this method and an apparatus for implementing the method. CONSTITUTION: In the method for continuously marking the elongated stock moved in the longitudinal direction of such elongated stock which is coated with the marks limited in an axial direction on the surface of the elongated stock with at least one coating material irradiation lines 8, the coating material irradiation lines 8 flow out of nozzles 4 by receiving pressure and the nozzles oscillate within one plane around the axis 6 of oscillation systems B. The respective oscillation systems B are so disposed that the two or more oscillation systems B are installed to line up in tight contact with each other and that the oscillating plane of the nozzles 4 extends in parallel to the moving direction of the elongated stock 1. The coating material irradiation lines 8 are introduced into the nozzles 4 in such a manner as to flow out of the nozzle 4 nearly perpendicular to the oscillating plane of the nozzle 4. |
