PURPOSE:To shorten the time requied for starting a discharge, by disposing a substrate which is formed by laminating 1st electrode group, dielectric layer and 2nd electrode group made of conductive filaments, so that it can face a substate which is coated with 3rd electrode group through a gas-discharging space. CONSTITUTION:A display anode DA composed of plural conductive filaments is stretched over the rear plate RP of a glass plate or the like, and the surface of said display plate DP is coated with a dielectric layer DL, and morefurther, a cathode K composed of plural filaments which intersect at right angles to the display anode DA is stretched over the surface of the dielectric layer DL. On the other hand, a priming anode SA composed of plural conductive filaments is stretched over the front plate EP, and said plate RP and plate FP are disposed facing each other through the discharge space so that the cathode K intersects at right angles to the priming anode SA, thus the captioned gas-discharge display panel is formed. Consequently, by forming the priming cell with a DC discharge cell and a display cell with an AC discharge cell, the generation of discharge can be quickened. Thus, without increasing the consumption of electric power, its display operation can be enhanced. |
