A method for reducing a transmission time interval of paging messages comprises: monitoring, at a preset transmission time interval (TTI), paging messages sent by a network side device; and determining positions for monitoring the TTI of the paging messages, the preset TTI being less than 1 millisecond. By means of the solution, a UE can shorten the paging delay, and the UE can shorten the activation time for monitoring paging messages, thereby reducing power consumption of the UE. |
