Water extn. machinery to separate particles or fibres from a suspension, consists of at least one gp. of three rollers. A dual peforated band passes through the nip of the rollers. In the direction of movement of the band, the first roller has a pressure action. The second roller is suspended on an arm which has a swinging motion, with the roller face between the first and third roller. The third roller is fixed to a stand on the base. Other rollers follow in reverse sequence. The rollers (3,8) are pref. suspended from the beam (31) by swivel brackets (14,15) on the arms (44,45) and centres (16,19). The roller (3) is suspended at a different angle to the following roller (8). The roller (4) has a bearing in the bracket (6) fixed to the base beam (32), and forms contact with the roller (3) on one side and roller (8) on the other side. Entry and exit rollers (2,9) have pressure facilities (7,21) and are retained in the brackets (18,23) with faces to the rollers (3,8). USE - The installation in a paper mill is employed to recover the fibrous material from a suspension, by removing the water. |
