PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a movement information detection device suitable for real-time detection while eliminating an estimated error of a peak position, and a multicolor image forming device using the same.SOLUTION: A movement information detection device comprises: a light source; a coupling lens for guiding a beam emitted from the light source to irradiate a moving member; an image sensor having a plurality of pixels and acquiring one- or two-dimensional image; an imaging lens for imaging a scattered beam scattered by the moving member on the image sensor; image pattern acquiring means for acquiring an image pattern on the image sensor in time series; and movement information calculation means for calculating a cross-correlation function between two image patterns P1, P2 adjacent to each other in acquisition time, and calculating a speed or displacement of the moving member. The movement information calculation means for calculating the cross-correlation function includes a step of executing discrete Fourier transform and a step of removing background in a frequency space. |
