The thermosensitive recording element, which is used in facsimile or printing system, consists of integrated circuit (15) to drive heat generating resistance element, a signal input terminal to control the integrated circuit, and printed circuit board (25) with strobe signal circuit. Especially three strobe signal circuits are formed on the board and the heat generating resistance element is drived in three steps. The recording element shows an increased average resistance without any cost or voltage increase.
