A method of obtaining rhodium or rhodium with platinum from material with iridium-impurity, consisting in transformation of these metals into a form of chloride complexes and reduction, characterised in that to the solution, containing rhodium chloride complexes or rhodium with platinum, is added ethylene glycol in the amount of 4-10 g per 1 g of rhodium and heated in the temperature of 90-170 degrees Celsius for 1.5-3 hours.
