In the lower floor area of the aircraft a catering container (3) with supply containers of unit dimensions is loadable on a surface delivery feed (7). Each container (31) is moved to a lift, from which they are individually removed and brought to the distributor station of the cabin space. At the distributor station, the containers are moved automatically or by hand on a chassis (32) for stacking and fixing on a normal trolley. The containers are covered by a cover and locating plate (33). USE/ADVANTAGE - To enhance the catering facility in long-distance aircraft carrying large numbers of passengers.
