The memory storage system for use with cameras, video recorders or similar equipment has an input processing stage and a memory module. The input data is received by a data manipulator (1) that contains a conversion code in tabular form. The data is demultiplexed (2) to provide a 32 bit output to a generator (4) coupled to a buffer memory (5). The generator provides a data stream that passes through the buffer to the automatic memory. The memory entry is controlled by an address counter (7). Control signals are generated by a unit (2) coupled to the various stages. USE/ADVANTAGE - Allow interrupt period of writing process to be varied.
