Mounting model of patient`s teeth in articulator - involves baseplate with projections which fit in recesses in articulator

The plaster-of-Paris model (3a) of a patient`s teeth is mounted on a baseplate (1) in order to fit the model into an articulator (34). The baseplate (1) has projections (14) one face of which fits into matching recesses in the arm (33) of the articulator (34). The projections (14) centralise the baseplate with respect to the articulator arm and also hold the baseplate in place. The other side of the baseplate (1) is provided with an anchoring element (7) for the attachment of the model (31a). USE/ADVANTAGE - Attachment of model of patient`s teeth to articulator. Model is accurately held in its correct position in articulator.
