The propulsion system, esp. for rockets, has a pressure vessel (2) with a pressure rupture disc (6) covering the opening on the opposite side to the direction of movement. The vessel is filled with carbide and water. A bundle of tubes (12) has the safety disc at one end and the other end is covered by a further pressure rupture disc (10). The bundle of tubes (12) is filled with water. USE/ADVANTAGE - The propulsion system generates the required thrust to carry a rocket into an orbit position, against the force of gravity, without damaging the environment with its emission.
