<p>The apparatus includes means to monitor the voltage VF on a main flash capacitor C1. A high check signal is applied to turn ON a transistor Tr3 to discharge a capacitor C3 so that the minus side of a neon lamp Ne is grounded through a resistor R4 and the transistor Tr3. If the charged voltage VF is more than 270V, the neon lamp Ne is turned ON and the voltage of the resistor becomes VF minus the ON state holding voltage VN of the lamp. When the check signal becomes low, the capacitor C3 charges to turn on a transistor Tr4 so that a line RLS becomes L. The potential on the resistor R4 side of the capacitor C3 increases until the neon lamp turns OFF and the line RLS becomes H. The pulse width of the line RLS is indicative of the charged voltage VR The pulse width is measured by a CPU so as to control exposure in dependence on the charged voltage VF. <IMAGE></p> |
