A temperature gauging device for rolling bearings, in particular for use on railway vehicle axles. The device comprises a temperature sensor (32) electrically connected to temperature indicator means located on board of a railway vehicle. The sensor is located in correspondence of a sealing annular shield (10) fixed to the stationary race (11) of the bearing by an interposed support (24,124).
