The portable information processor consists of a case (12) with a number of insert areas (86, 92, 94) and sockets which accept plug-in modules. The plug-in modules may be cards, memory cards, cable connections etc. The case (12) also contains circuit cards. A stylus pen receptacle is positioned on the underside (28). A battery socket is also present. An input area pad covers the upper surface of the case, and accepts stylus input, displaying this on an LCD display. USE - Portable computing system.
