PRODUCTION OF SILICON NITRIDE-BASED SINTERED COMPACT

摘要

PURPOSE:To produce a silicon nitride-based sintered compact having a high alpha-sialon content without increasing the amt. of a sintering aid added. CONSTITUTION:Silicon nitride powder having >=0.6mum average particle diameter is mixed with powder of a sintering aid for converting silicon nitride into alpha- sialon and this mixture is fired to produce the objective silicon nitride-based sintered compact having a high alpha-sialon content.
