PURPOSE:To provide an electrothermal transfer recording medium which can be used for readout, can obtain a good image quality thermal transfer print by repetitive use for a long period, has sufficient flexibility, and is excellent in mechanical strength, heat resistance, and thermal stability. CONSTITUTION:An electrothermal transfer medium is constructed as follows, an amorphous carbonaceous layer 2 of 10<-1>-10<3>OMEGA.cm specific volumetric resistance value at 23 deg.C which is obtained by burning a film consisting of at least resin or the resin and conductive powder is provided to one surface of a metallic base material 1, or a powdery ink holding layer 4 is provided to the other surface of the metallic base material. |
