PURPOSE: To reduce the damage of bio-tissue, by deforming a U-letter-shaped staple connecting a pair of legs at both ends of the back-span so that each leg may intersect each other, and positioning the tips of each leg between the downside of the back-span and the curved portion of the other leg. CONSTITUTION: This staple 30 composed of bio-absorbable polymers is formed in a U-letter shape with the back-span 32 and two legs 34 extending in the rectangular direction from both ends of the back-span. And, in the deformed state of said staple 30, curved portions 38 are formed for individual legs 34. The straight portions between the curved portions 38 and the back-span 32 are the first portions 40, and the curved terminal-side tips of the curved portions 38 are the second portions 42. When the curved portions 38 are formed in the middle positions of individual legs 34, the legs are curved slightly inward, the curved second portions 42 are guided to approach each other in the avil, and then are guided upward in the direction of the back-span 32 along the route curved in a circular-arc shape in the horizontal plane. |
