PURPOSE:To perform the conversion processing for sequence of points data at high speed in a vector/raster conversion system for which DDA (digital/ differential/analyzer) arithmetic processing is used. CONSTITUTION:In this system, n (n > 1) DDA arithmetic circuits 21 to 2n inputting vector data specifying a straight line and successively calculating the coordinate value of an minor axis direction for each coordinate value of a major axis direction in an orthogonal coordinate system along the straight line according to the accumulated value of the value corresponding to the inclination of the straight line are provided. The DDA arithmetic circuit 21 determines the coordinate values of n points which is continuous from the start point of the straight line at an initial arithmetic stage. At a parallel arithmetic stage, each of DDA arithmetic circuits 21 to 2n successively determines the coordinate value of the point which is away by the n points by defining the coordinate values of n points determined at the initial arithmetic stage as initial values, respectively. Thus, the continuous n points are determined by a cycle. |
