Multiplexed information is made up of a key word, the transmit information and auxiliary information, data coded. The key word is sensed by a detector (22), and used to establish the demultiplexed data length and separation (50) of information bits (II). This enables the order of insertion of auxiliary information bits (INX) to be established and for their correct insertion in the output information frame. The information bits may thus be processed in complementary parallel trains.
