PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording device capable of suppressing glossiness to a suitable range while maintaining image clarity.SOLUTION: A patch pattern for adjusting the application position of transparent ink is formed on a base pattern of colored ink. The pattern is measured by a reflection sensor, and determined as information related to difference in smoothness from an area around the pattern by using the signal strength of regular reflection light during measuring the pattern. It is determined whether to determine an adjustment amount based on an adjustment pattern as an adjustment amount of a recording position by the transparent ink in accordance with information related to the difference in the smoothness.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 16 |
