PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide transfer layers that more effectively promote distribution of fluids over an absorbent core, provide more comfort for a wearer, reduce surface wetness in a top sheet, and reduce or eliminate rewet in general.SOLUTION: A composite comprises: a first layer comprising a formed film having a plurality of capillary-sized apertured protuberances and a plurality of two-dimensional drains; and a second layer in intimate contact with an apertured end of the capillary-sized protuberances and separate from the first layer in the z-direction, the second layer being selected from among a three-dimensional apertured formed film and a nonwoven web.SELECTED DRAWING: None |
