PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently process information constituting an image.SOLUTION: A decoding method comprises an acquisition step of acquiring encoded data including first binary data and second binary data respectively indicating a horizontal component and a vertical component of a difference vector; and a decoding step of decoding the code data. The first binary data includes (1) only a first part which is prefix data or (2) a third part which is a first part and suffix data. The second binary data includes (1) only a second part which is the prefix data or (2) a fourth part which is the second part and the suffix data. In the decoding step, the code data is decoded in the order of the first part, the first part and the second part when only the second part is included. In the case where the code data includes the third portion and the fourth portion, the first portion, the second portion, the third portion, and the fourth portion are decoded in this order.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 16B |
