PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an audio device in which a level limit mode focusing on current limit is selected when the current exceeds a target current, and a level limit mode focusing on the sound quality is selected when the target current is not exceeded.SOLUTION: An audio device 10 is constituted of a signal processor 20, an amplifier 30, a speaker 40, and a control unit 50. A current consumption prediction unit 52 predicts current consumption from the monitoring results of the output level monitoring section 28 of the signal processor 20, and/or the monitoring results of the power supply voltage monitoring section 58, and a limiter control section 54 controls a limiter 24 in normal mode or current limit mode based on the predicted current consumption. In the current limit mode, the limiter 24 is controlled so that the attenuation speed is larger than that in the normal mode, and the threshold is smaller.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
